Auditions

Please read below for important information regarding auditions.

Audition Information

Auditions

Please note that MainStage has decided to limit the number of registrations due to the seriousness of their approach and to maintain the highest quality production possible. Registration will be closed upon reaching that threshold. Do not delay.

​

  • When: Auditions will be held Sept. 12th and Sept. 13th

    • 6:00-9:00pm.

      • Please plan to attend both days of auditions. 

  • Where: Concord Elementary,1019 Concord Place, Darien, IL

  • Who: Open to those aged 12 - 18.

What To Prepare

  • After registration, the participant will receive an email with an enrollment form to complete.

  • As we get closer to the date, all audition sides and choreography videos to prepare for auditions will be provided.

  • A dance audition will be taught at auditions.

Production Details

  • HEATHERS The Musical will be a no-cut show.  Everyone who registers and auditions will be part of the cast.  Limited numbers.

  • Rehearsals will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6:00-9:00pm at Cass Jr. High School, Concord Elementary, or Hinsdale South High School.

    • Audition at Concord Elementary, 1019 Concord Place, Darien, IL

    • Rehearsals (all of September & October) at Concord.

    • Rehearsals (November 7, 8, 14 & 15) at Cass Jr. High School, 8502 Bailey Road, Darien, IL 

  • Rehearsals begin Tuesday, September 19th

  • There will be additional choreography rehearsals.

  • There will be additional appointments for hair, make-up, and costuming. 

  • Tech Rehearsal will begin daily starting Saturday, November 25th.  **This is Saturday after Thanksgiving** at HLR Performing Arts Center in Oak Lawn, IL.

  • Performance will be December 1st @ 1PM, December 2nd @ 2PM & 7PM, and December 3rd @ 2 PM.

  • Performances will be at the Harold L. Richards High School Performance Art Center​ in Oak Lawn

    • 10601 Central Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL​

  • Tuition will be $550

    • Includes: weekly rehearsals/classes, tech rehearsals, performances, highly skilled directors, a commemorative show shirt, and free access to show photos.​

    • $75 costume fee will be billed after auditions.
